In 2020, Meskerem Mees broke through with the debut single 'Joe', followed by hits such as 'The Writer' and 'Seasons Shift'. In 2021, she launched her highly anticipated debut album 'Julius', which achieved success across Europe, including awards from Montreux Jazz and Music Moves Europe.

'Caesar', an EP consisting of old, new and unreleased songs, released in the autumn of 2022. The production, just like with 'Julius', is in the hands of Koen Gisen.

​

's musical adventure takes an unexpected turn when she is asked to make music for Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker's Rosas in 2023. Throughout the collaboration, a passion for dance becomes clear and she decided to also dance in this performance. With Exit Above she will tour the world from 2023 to 2025 while working on new music.
